Every good floor starts under the floor.
Old carpet, tile, vinyl, hardwood and damaged subfloor torn out and hauled off. Then we fix what’s underneath: squeaks, soft spots, high seams and low dips, so the new floor goes down flat and quiet.
What’s included
Done properly, start to finish.
Any old floor
Carpet, pad and tack strip, sheet vinyl, laminate, glued-down wood, tile and old subfloor.
Gone the same day
Old carpet, flooring and subfloor loaded up and taken away. No pile in your driveway.
Screwed down tight
Loose subfloor panels re-fastened to the joists before anything goes on top.
Grind & patch
High seams ground down, low spots filled with patch or self-leveler to meet the flooring spec.
Soft spots fixed
Water-damaged or delaminated subfloor sections cut out and replaced.
Tested before install
Concrete and wood subfloors checked so the new floor isn’t going down over a problem.

Good to know
Why prep decides how long a floor lasts
Most flooring failures, like clicking seams, gaps, cupping and squeaks, trace back to the subfloor. Manufacturers spell out how flat and dry it has to be, and warranties depend on it. We meet that spec before the first plank goes down.
- Flatness checked with a long straightedge
- Moisture tested on wood and concrete
- Squeaks fixed while the floor is open
- Protects your flooring warranty

Do you remove tile?
Yes. Tile removal is the dustiest part of the job, so we contain the area and clean up as we go. Thinset gets scraped or ground so the new floor sits flat.
How do I know if my subfloor needs work?
Squeaks, bouncy spots, visible dips, or old water damage are the usual signs. We check every subfloor at the estimate and after tear-out.
Can I remove the old floor myself to save money?
Yes. Just let us know at the estimate. We’ll still check and prep the subfloor before install.
Is subfloor prep included in the install price?
Basic prep is part of every install. Bigger repairs or self-leveler are quoted separately and approved by you before we do them.
