Hardwood that stays flat for decades.
Engineered and solid hardwood installed over a subfloor we’ve checked for moisture and flatness first. Nail-down, glue-down or floating, whatever the product and the room call for.
What’s included
Done properly, start to finish.
Nail, glue or float
We match the method to the product spec and your subfloor: nail-down over wood, glue-down over concrete or for a solid feel, floating where it’s allowed.
Moisture & flatness check
Wood moves with moisture. We meter the subfloor and the planks before install and flatten high and low spots so boards don’t cup or squeak.
Boards settle in first
Hardwood sits in the home before install, per the manufacturer’s instructions, so it adjusts to your humidity instead of shrinking after.
Planned, not random
We lay out rows so seams stagger properly, short pieces don’t cluster, and the floor runs the direction that looks best in the room.
Undercut jambs & trim
Door jambs get undercut so the floor slides underneath. No caulk lines. Baseboard and transitions finish every edge.
Swept and walked through
Scrap hauled off, floor vacuumed, and a walkthrough with you before we call it done.

Good to know
Engineered or solid?
Solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished many times, but it reacts more to moisture and is usually nailed over wood subfloors. Engineered hardwood has a real wood top layer over a stable core, so it works over concrete and in more rooms. We’ll walk you through which fits your house.
- Engineered works over concrete and radiant heat (per product)
- Solid is best above grade over a wood subfloor
- Both can be refinished; engineered depends on wear-layer thickness
- We install the product you pick, from any supplier

How long does hardwood install take?
Most single rooms take a day. A main floor usually runs two to four days depending on square footage, stairs, and how much prep the subfloor needs. We’ll give you a schedule with your estimate.
Can you install hardwood over concrete?
Engineered hardwood, yes, with the right moisture testing and either a glue-down or floating method approved by the manufacturer. Solid hardwood generally isn’t recommended directly on concrete.
Do I need to buy the flooring myself?
Either way works. You can buy your own material and we install it, or we can help you pick a product and quantity so you order the right amount the first time.
Will there be dust?
Installing prefinished hardwood is far cleaner than sanding a floor on site. Cutting happens outside or in a set-up area when possible, and we clean up at the end of each day.
