Laminate floors with a tough top and tight seams.
Modern laminate is harder on the surface than most floors and a lot more convincing than it used to be. We install it over the right underlayment with expansion gaps you’ll never see.
What’s included
Done properly, start to finish.
Matched to the floor
Moisture barrier over concrete, sound-dampening pad upstairs, or the attached pad the manufacturer specifies.
Room to move
Laminate floats, so it needs a gap at the walls. We size it to spec and hide it under baseboard or quarter round.
Clean around everything
Door jambs undercut, vents cut in, and tight scribes along cabinets and stairs.
Tear-out & haul-off
We remove carpet, pad and tack strip or old flooring and take it with us.
Flush where it counts
The right profile at every doorway, carpet edge and tile meeting so nothing catches a toe.
Same-day use
Floating laminate is walkable as soon as we pack up.

Good to know
Laminate vs. LVP
Laminate has a harder, more scratch-resistant surface and often a more realistic wood texture. LVP wins in wet rooms. Many newer laminates are water-resistant for everyday spills, which makes them a strong pick for living areas and bedrooms.
- Top-tier scratch resistance for pets
- Realistic embossed wood grain
- Water-resistant products handle everyday spills
- Usually a lower material cost than hardwood

Is laminate waterproof?
Some newer laminates are rated water-resistant or waterproof on the surface for a set number of hours. Standard laminate is not. We’ll check the rating on the product you’re looking at.
Is laminate loud to walk on?
It can be if the underlayment is skipped or cheap. Good underlayment and a flat subfloor make a big difference, especially upstairs.
Can laminate go in a basement?
Yes, with a moisture barrier over the concrete and a product rated for below-grade installs.
How long does install take?
Most rooms take a day, including tear-out. A full level of a house is usually two to three days.
